Carbon offsets are available to Travel Agents in Australia that are making bookings using content from the NDC-enabled Qantas Distribution Platform. When your customer chooses to offset carbon through the Qantas Distribution Platform, Qantas will be able to support more conservation and environmental projects in Australia and around the world. Over the years these projects have included protecting the Great Barrier Reef and working with Indigenous communities to reduce wildfires in Western Australia.
Qantas Frequent Flyer members and Qantas Business Rewards customers can earn 10 Qantas Points for every dollar spent offsetting their emissions.

Customers in Australia can offset carbon emissions when travelling on Qantas operated international, domestic, regional flights in all cabins.
Fly Carbon Neutral is available on Travel Agent bookings made via the Qantas Distribution Platform. Qantas encourages Travel Agents to contact your Approved Technology Partner to find out when Fly Carbon Neutral will be available to your agency.
Fly Carbon Neutral is a voluntary program and carbon offsets are not transferable and non-refundable. The payment made to offset carbon emissions will remain with the original flights when a customer chooses to change their itinerary. Frequent Flyer members and Qantas Business Rewards customers will still earn points for the carbon offsets purchased on their original itinerary even if that itinerary is cancelled or changed.
Qantas Distribution Platform will automatically calculate the estimated cost required to offset carbon emissions for all customers in a single booking. If only one customer is choosing to Fly Carbon Neutral, Qantas recommends that the customer should be booked in a separate PNR.
No, once carbon offset is purchased the payment for that offset is non-refundable. Frequent Flyer members and Qantas Business Rewards customers will still earn points for the carbon offsets purchased on their original itinerary.
