Commercial Policy for Peace of Mind Pricing Waiver
The following commercial policy permits travel agents to issue or reissue a Qantas fare at pre-increase levels if affected by a base fare or Q surcharge increase after booking and prior to ticketing.
Commercial Policy Conditions
- Booking must have been made and flights confirmed when the increase is published
- Ticket must be within ticketing time limit or within 3 days – whichever is earlier
- Applies to tickets issued on Qantas (081) only
- Applies to EDIFACT indirect bookings
- If communication has been sent on a fare increase with a more restrictive timeframe to issue or reissue a ticket to avoid a fare increase, the more restrictive timeframe applies
- Once a ticket has been issued or reissued using this authority, subsequent changes are subject to fare rules and conditions (unless covered by this or another commercial policy).
- Does not apply if the itinerary includes Emirates (EK) prime flights or QF codeshare flights operated by EK
- Does not apply to increases in airport charges, security, tax or other government charges.
- Does not apply to new or increased ticket taxes, YR channel or distribution surcharges, airport charges, security, government charges and other carrier-imposed fees.
Permitted Actions
- Issue/reissue with authority 783145 in the ticket endorsement
- For prime issue, tickets to be issued at the pre-increase level by 2359 hours (local time) on the 3rd day after the increase has been published or within the ticketing time limit (TTL) – whichever comes first.
- For reissue, tickets to be reissued at the pre-increase level by 2359 hours (local time) on the 3rd day after the increase has been published
Note: This policy does not apply to Qantas NDC tickets which are covered by the Price Guarantee Ticketing Time Limit (PGTTL). Refer to Qantas NDC Booking Time Limits.
