The number of Qantas Points for each eligible flight is calculated by applying the percentage earn rate for your business' membership Level contained in the Qantas Business Rewards airline earn table to the number of Qantas Points usually earned on that flight by a Bronze Qantas Frequent Flyer member (regardless of the membership tier of the actual traveller), excluding any bonus Qantas Points which may be offered from time to time. Every time you, your travellers or travel agent book an eligible flight, all you need to do is ensure that your business' ABN and the traveller's Qantas Frequent Flyer number have been added to the booking.
These levels do not relate to earning with partners in Qantas Business Rewards, other than Qantas.
A Membership Year for the first year, commences on the day of joining Qantas Business Rewards and concludes on the last day of the Member's Anniversary Month the following year; and subject to Membership renewal, for each successive year commences on the first day of the month following a Member's Anniversary Month and concludes on the last day of the Member's Anniversary Month in each relevant following year, unless otherwise determined under clause 5.5 of the Qantas Business Rewards Terms and ConditionsOpens external site.
Note: A business' first Membership Year may be longer than 12 months. For example, if a business joins Qantas Business Rewards on 16 June 2017, their Membership Year will end on 30 June 2018.
Your agent may not know that your business is a member of Qantas Business Rewards or what your level in the program is. It is therefore important to ask your agent to enter your business' ABN and the traveller's Qantas Frequent Flyer number in the booking. There are two ways for a business to use the Qantas Points accumulated in their Qantas Business Rewards account.
Redeem points directly from their Qantas Business Rewards account and Save on travel costs by using Qantas Points to book flights for you or your team. You can use your points to book Classic Flight Rewards or on Points Plus Pay - Flights as well as register for a classic upgrade reward, purchase additional baggage and seat selection directly from your Qantas Business Rewards account (available to eligible businesses*);
or any business can simply transferOpens external site (minimum 3,000) Qantas Points from your Business Rewards account, in real time, to any Qantas Frequent Flyer account/s.
The Frequent Flyer member/s can then redeem Qantas Points for their choice of rewards including flights, accommodation, car hire, Qantas WineOpens external site, or over 8,000 products available via the Qantas Rewards StoreOpens external site.
Yes, eligible businesses can directly book Classic Flight Rewards and Points Plus Pay - Flights as well as request a Classic Upgrade Reward, using the Qantas Points held in your Business Rewards account. Alternatively, Qantas Points can also be transferred to any Qantas Frequent Flyer account (minimum 3,000 points can be transferred in a single transaction)
To redeem points, you must be logged in to and book from your Qantas Business Rewards account and whoever is booking must have the correct permissions to be able to use points for your business.
No, to use the Qantas Points in your Business Rewards account to book Classic Flight Rewards and Points Plus Pay- Flights you must book your flight by logging in to your Qantas Business Rewards account.
Members with a sufficient points balance can register for Classic Upgrade Reward through their Qantas Business Rewards account or by contacting our Contact Centre on 13 74 78 Option 2. This can be requested by users who currently have the use points permission enabled in their QBR account for any traveller traveling under their ABN.
In order to make a Classic Upgrade Reward request, Members will need to have an eligible paid and confirmed ticket on a Qantas flight with a Qantas (QF) flight number on the ticket. From time-to-time Classic Upgrade Rewards may also be requested on eligible paid and confirmed tickets on codeshare flights operated by another airline with a Qantas (QF) flight number on the ticket.
QBR members can log into their QBR account and register for an upgrade up until 10 hours prior to departure for domestic flights and until 24 hours prior to departure for international flights.
Platinum One, Platinum, Gold and Qantas Club members can continue to request on departure upgrades using their Qantas Frequent flyer points. If a member is wanting to use QBR points these will need to be transferred from the business account to the frequent flyer account.
At this stage bid now upgrades are not available via Qantas Business Rewards however members can transfer points to a Qantas Frequent Flyer account and the traveller can register through their Frequent Flyer account.
You can request an upgrade from your QBR account for any traveller. If you request a Classic Upgrade Reward, all travellers on the booking will be included.
If your booking includes passengers that you don’t want to request an upgrade for you will need to contact our call 13 74 78 and select the flight booking option; 24 hours, 7 days a week to split the booking and then you will be able to request an upgrade.
The travelers in the booking and travel arranger will be notified via text message of a successful upgrade request
The traveler and travel arranger won't receive a notification if an upgrade is unsuccessful

You may cancel an unconfirmed request without forfeiting your Qantas points at any time prior to the scheduled flight departure.
Should your upgrade request be confirmed, and you choose to cancel your request more than 24 hours prior to your scheduled flight departure, your Classic Upgrade Reward will be refunded subject to a 5,000-point cancellation fee.
If you cancel your upgrade request or fail to board a flight for which you have redeemed points for a Classic Upgrade Reward within 24 hours of the scheduled flight departure, you will forfeit the points used and a seat may no longer be available in your original booking class.

The individual Qantas Frequent Flyer member number and the business' ABN must be entered into each booking. Generally it will take up to 7 days after travel for Qantas Points to be credited to your online member Points Activity Statement.
If after 7 days the Qantas Points do not appear on your statement, you can make a missing Qantas Points claim on qantasbusinessrewards.comOpens external site, within 90 days of the flight.
Any claims in relation to Qantas Points should be referred to the partner. It can take up to 12 weeks for points to appear in Member accounts. Each participating program partner has their own process for claiming missing Qantas PointsOpens external site. Qantas Points in Business Rewards accounts will not expire as long as the Member has earned, redeemed or transferred Qantas Points via the Business Rewards account at least once in a consecutive 18 month period.
Qantas Points are deemed to be earned on the date an eligible flight was taken, or in the case of earning with Program Partners, the earn date is the day the Qantas Business Rewards program partner advises us that the activity took place.
The redemption date is the date on which Qantas Points were used to book a Classic Flight Reward or Points Plus Pay - Flights directly from the Qantas Business Rewards account, and the transfer date is the date on which Qantas Points are transferred from the business' Qantas Business Rewards account to an individual Qantas Frequent Flyer account.
