Kuching International Airport (KCH) It is an international airport serving the entire southwestern region of Sarawak, Malaysia. It's located 11 km south of Kuching city centre.  

Arriving in Kuching

The helpful staff at Kuching Airport will greet you when you land and assist with your travel needs. Once you collect your bags from the arrivals area, there are various transport options available to get you on your way.         

Getting into Kuching from Kuching Airport     

Getting into Kuching is easy, with a range of transport options to suit your needs. Choose from taxis, ride-share, hotel shuttle, private transfer or car hire. Taxi is a convenient option to get to your destination and are located at the stand outside the terminal. One-way fares from the airport to various destinations, operate on a fixed rate. It’s best to buy a coupon at the taxi counter and head to the taxi stand. Alternatively, you could request a ride through Grab, a ride share service. It takes around 10 minutes to get to the city centre by car. If you would like a private transfer, you can book a transfer to any destination in Kuching. Shuttle buses are available, you can rent a car, or you may wish to organise a hotel shuttle.  

Getting around Kuching

Getting around Kuching is easy, thanks to the range of transport options. Choose from taxi, ride-share, bus, scooter, bicycle, taxi, shuttle van or car hire. Taxi is a handy option to get to you to where you want to go and be sure to get the meter turned on. Alternatively, you can book a ride through Grab, a ride share service. Buses are an easy option with regular services and stops throughout the centre of Kuching, and head to most popular tourist destinations. Bus route 1, runs between Kuching and the Bako Jetty. Scooters are available to hire or you may like to rent a bike as the roads are good, with few hills and not too much traffic. It's possible to rent a car to get to those hard to reach places, take a boat tour or look for the shuttle van with a yellow roof. They are a shared taxi van and will have their destinations written down on the side of the van.
