Qantas travel credits

If your booking has been changed or cancelled, you may hold a Qantas travel credit with us. Learn more about our different travel credit products and how to redeem them for your upcoming flight.


The easiest way to identify the type of Qantas travel credit you have is by logging into your Qantas Frequent Flyer or Qantas Business Rewards account and selecting “See all bookings”. If you're the primary booking contact, you may also have an email from us detailing your travel credit details.

Booked with a travel agent? They'll need to assist you with using your travel credit. 

Which travel credit do I have?

Different conditions apply depending on when your booking was made, the type of booking you held, and why the credit was issued. You should always refer to the fare conditions of your original booking, as well as the terms and conditions applicable for your travel credit.

Qantas Flight Credits

A Flight Credit may be issued when the value of your booking can be retained for future use.

When you’re ready to rebook your trip, you can redeem your Flight Credit online via Manage Booking for all passengers on the original flight booking, using the six character reference (in most cases, this is the same as your original booking reference). If you no longer wish to travel with the same passengers, please contact us.

Powered by UATP, these virtual accounts store the balance of your credit which you can use as a payment method when booking your next Qantas flight. If your Flight Credit has been transferred to a Qantas Pass, Qantas TravelPass or Qantas Credit, you will have received an email from us with further details including your card number and how to access your account.

Qantas Pass, Qantas TravelPass and Qantas Credit: can be used as a form of payment through Qantas, on, Qantas App, or through your local Qantas office (booking fees may apply). These can be used for multiple bookings and valid until 31 December 2023 (book and complete travel before this date).
