Best time to visit Phoenix

The best time to visit Phoenix is in the winter (December to February) or in the spring (March to May). This is when the weather is the most temperate, the desert is in bloom and you’re able to take advantage of all the outdoor adventures Arizona is known for and still plenty of sunshine. Phoenix comes alive during these months, with locals venturing out and about after six months of being in the air conditioning. Arizona is a world-class golf destination, and the PGA Tour comes to Scottsdale in winter. The temperatures during the summer can reach higher than 40 °C. Foodies will love the fall with Arizona Restaurant Week in September. Over 100 restaurants participate across the Valley—offering special pricing and menu items.

Phoenix International Airport (PHX)Opens external site in a new window, also known as Sky Harbor Airport or simply PHX Airport, serves the city of Phoenix and is Arizona’s largest and busiest airport, among the largest commercial airports in the United States. Phoenix Airport is located 5 km east of downtown Phoenix. Phoenix Airport has two passenger terminals, terminal 3 and terminal 4. Sky Harbour Airport has a variety of services and facilities.

Getting into Phoenix from Phoenix Airport

Phoenix Airport has many options of transport options to get to town from the airport. For public transport there are several bus options from Phoenix Airport as well as shuttles. Light rail is connected to the Valley Metro Rail from Sky Harbour Airport. It’s easy to get to downtown by taxi within 10 minutes. It is possible to rent a car in Phoenix Airport which is a good option to move around.

Phoenix Airport has many options of transport options to get to town from the airport. For public transport there are several bus options from Phoenix Airport as well as shuttles. A one-way pass on the light rail costs $2 or an all-day pass is $4, which can be purchased at the ticket vending machines at each station. It’s easy to get to downtown by taxi within 10 minutes.
