Booking your favourite restaurant, going to the movies, catching a cab or even just walking – doing any one of these earns you Qantas Points. Here are 13 very rewarding activities.
Take an Uber home from the airport
Qantas Frequent Flyers can earn Qantas Points by requesting an Uber using the Qantas app for trips to or from eligible Australian airports. Frequent Flyers will earn one, two or three points per dollar spent depending on their status. Plus, members who link their Uber and Frequent Flyer accounts through the Qantas app earn an additional 2,000 Qantas Points on their first Uber ride anywhere in the country.
Dine at Rockpool Dining Group
Imagine earning Qantas Points for eating lobster and sipping on a bold Leeuwin Estate chardonnay? Qantas Frequent Flyer members can now earn points – and use points to fully cover or part-cover their bill – at any one of Rockpool Dining Group’s 60 restaurants and bars across Australia. To kick off the gastronomic offer, Qantas Frequent Flyer members can earn double points across all Rockpool Dining Group venues until 31 May 2018. That means premium and casual diners at restaurants such as Spice Temple or Fratelli Fresh can earn four Qantas Points for every dollar spent (usually two Qantas Points for every dollar spent) and fast casual diners at spots such as Burger Project can earn two Qantas Points for every dollar spent (usually one Qantas Point for every dollar spent).
Walk (or run!)
Qantas Frequent Flyer members have the chance to earn Qantas Points – by simply putting one foot in front of the other. To celebrate the Qantas Frequent Flyer program turning 30, Qantas is giving away 30 million Qantas Points throughout the month of October 2017. Download the Qantas Assure app and join the Qantas Points giveaway challenge. That’s the hard bit. All you have to do next is beat the Australian national average of 7400 steps per day: each day you reach 8000 steps, you’ll score 30 points and be entered into a draw to win one of 30 Qantas flight vouchers*.
Turn wine into points
Forget running down to the bottle shop for an average chardonnay – Qantas epiQure has an excellent selection of wines and Champagnes to purchase online. Members earn three Qantas Points for each dollar spent and have their order delivered to their front door. In addition, each week there are bonus Qantas Points to be earned with selected products – particularly handy coming into the festive season when many a cork will be popped.
Get there faster
If you’re always hailing a cab, download the GoCatch or ingogo apps on your phone to simplify the process and earn Qantas Points. The apps allow you to book and pay for your taxi and earn one Qantas Point for every dollar spent.
Make money matters easier when you’re travelling with Qantas Cash. With a Qantas Cash account, you can load, spend and transfer money from anywhere in the world. And the best part is, you earn one Qantas Point for every dollar spent in foreign currency, and one Qantas Point for every $2 spent in Australian dollars.
Golf enthusiasts can book in tee time through Qantas Golf Club and earn one Qantas Point for every dollar spent. Become a Premium member of Qantas Golf Club and you can also book a round at exclusive, members-only golf courses.
Shop to fly
Planning a shopping spree? More than 50 brands, including Saks Fifth Avenue, Aveda, Seed and David Jones, have virtual shopfronts at the Qantas Online Mall, where every dollar spent earns up to five Qantas Points. Plus, there are regular special offers such as free shipping and bonus Qantas Points. Simply log in with your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership number, click through to your chosen store and shop, safe in the knowledge you’re earning Qantas Points with every purchase.
When you have a Qantas Points-earning credit card (and there are more than 50 of them), you earn Qantas Points on almost anything you purchase with the card. And if you use the card to buy wine at Qantas epiQure or shop at the Qantas Online Mall, you earn double Qantas Points, effectively double dipping.
Stay at a home away from home
Book accommodation at an Airbnb property through Qantas for your summer weekend getaway. Qantas hands over one Qantas Point per dollar spent and there are thousands of beautiful properties all over the country.

Deliveroo brings your favourite restaurants to your door, and Qantas also delivers in the form of 1000 Qantas Points when you download or open the Deliveroo app, enter your Qantas Frequent Flyer details and place your first order. If you order four or more times in a calendar month, you'll score an extra 200 points.
Book a table

Have an adventure
Intrepid offers tours in exotic locales doing exciting things – you could find yourself riding camels in Morocco or gazing at glaciers in Patagonia. The same goes for Peregrine Adventures which guides small groups around gorgeous destinations, such as the Galápagos and the Dalmatian Coast. Spend $1000 or more with Intrepid for 2500 Qantas Points; spending the same amount will earn you 3500 with Peregrine.
Send your pet on a vacation
Although leaving your pet at home while you head off on holiday can sometimes be a source of stress, it doesn’t have to be. Pet sitting service Mad Paws – which gives owners the option of having their animal looked after in their own home or the home of their chosen, security-checked pet sitter – earns users one Qantas Point per dollar spent. There’s also grooming and walking services available, so it’s not just for holiday season.
