What you need to know

You must be a Qantas Frequent Flyer to earn and use Qantas Points. A joining fee may apply. Membership and points are subject to the Qantas Frequent Flyer program Terms and Conditions.

Disclaimer: * To be eligible for Green Tier status, Qantas Frequent Flyer members must complete one activity in five out of six Green Tier categories in a Membership Year. Members must be residing in Australia with an Australian residential address in their profile. Members must be logged in to their Qantas Frequent Flyer account when completing the relevant activity (for example, booking an eco-accredited hotel) and residing in Australia with an Australian residential address in their profile.

Disclaimer: ^ In order to be recognised for the Green Tier activity, Qantas Frequent Flyer members must tick ‘Fly Carbon Neutral’ on eligible flights during the booking process or in My Account. Carbon offset will be recognised as a Green Tier activity seven days after purchase.

Disclaimer: + Qantas Frequent Flyer members must stay at chosen hotels in order for the activity to be eligible towards achieving Green Tier status. Your Qantas Frequent Flyer number must be added to your booking for the hotel stay to count towards your Green Tier activity. View the full list of eco-accredited properties recognised by the Qantas Green Tier program. Properties correct as at 14 February 2022. Your stay will be recognised as a Green Tier activity four days after check-out. A property will be considered eligible within the Qantas Green Tier program if they meet the required sustainability performance criteria. Hotel sustainability performance was assessed based on public information and reports disclosed by listed properties detailing environmental, social and governance issues. Considerations were given to properties with sustainability reporting and strategies aligned with the Global Reporting Initiative, the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board, the Taskforce on Climate-related Financial Disclosures or other industry recognised Sustainability reporting standards or initiatives. Finally consideration was also given to hotels with recognised performance in sustainability through third party certifications or awards including B Corp, Climate Active, Green Star rating or eligible international certification standards. Any complaints, feedback or recommendations regarding sustainability initiatives and activities will be passed directly to relevant properties requesting a written response. Only Australian domestic properties are eligible.

These products will be identified via a green leaf on the Qantas Wine website. Certified wineries have been independently audited against the Australian wine industry sustainability standard. Whilst practices within the winery meet the industry sustainability standard, there is no guarantee that all grapes in the bottle have been sourced from a certified sustainable vineyard. Qantas Frequent Flyer members who achieve Green Tier status will receive 250 bonus points per case on designated Eco- friendly cases of six and 12 bottles purchased through Qantas Wine provided they reside in Australia and are 18 years of ago and over (Qantas Wine Only). The bonus points will be awarded for eligible purchases from Qantas Wine within 72 hours of completing the purchase. Points may take up to six weeks to be credited to a Member’s Qantas Frequent Flyer account. To purchase from Qantas Wine, you must be a Qantas Frequent Flyer member, 18 years of age and over and have an Australian delivery address. Qantas Hotels: Qantas Frequent Flyer members who achieve Green Tier status will earn 150 bonus Qantas Points per night on all eligible eco-accredited hotels booked through qantas.com/hotels, except Classic Hotel Rewards. Qantas Points will not be earned on cancelled or refunded bookings. Qantas Points cannot be split between two or more members occupying the same room. To earn Qantas Points, quote your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership number when booking. Members will not be able to redeem points for, or earn points on additional charges paid to the accommodation provider for extras (including cots, breakfasts and other incidentals) on check-in or check-out (as applicable). Qantas Points will be credited to your account at least eight weeks after check-out.

Disclaimer: ++ Qantas Frequent Flyers who have achieved Green Tier status are eligible to earn their choice of  one (1) of three (3) available rewards. The option to select a reward will appear in My Account 21 days after the member has achieved Green Tier. The choice of 10,000 Qantas Points or 50 Status Credits or three tonnes of Carbon offset must be made within 90 days of achieving Green Tier status. Limit of one reward per individual per Membership Year. Once the application is complete there is no change of mind on the chosen reward. If no reward is chosen within the specified timeframe the reward will be forfeited.
Qantas Points: 10,000 Qantas Points will be credited to your account within three days of your completed application for a reward.
Status Credits: 50 Status Credits will be credited to your account within three days of your completed application for a reward. Bonus Status Credits earned from this offer will not contribute towards any Loyalty Bonuses, or any Platinum or Platinum One Bonus Rewards. Status Credits are not transferable and will be governed by the Qantas Frequent Flyer terms and conditions.
Qantas to purchase additional carbon offsets or sustainable aviation fuel on your behalf: Qantas will offset three tonnes of carbon on behalf of the Qantas Frequent Flyer member if this reward is selected. Carbon offset cannot be redeemed for cash, and is non-refundable. The carbon offset will be reflected in your activity statement within one day of your completed application for this reward. This reward is only available for Australian residents only and does not consider any other country, conditions or carbon offsetting criteria
