Once I have unlocked Green tier status, how long will I enjoy the benefits for?You can enjoy your Green tier benefits from the moment you achieve Green tier status, until the end of your next Membership Year. For example, if your Membership Year begins on 1 January 2022 and ends 31 December 2022, and you unlock Green tier status in June 2022, you can enjoy your membership benefits until 31 December 2023.How soon after booking my eco-accredited hotel, will I receive recognition towards Green tier?It will take three to four days after you have checked out of your hotel for your sustainable stay to be recognised in your Green tier progress.Is there a minimum number of nights I need to book to fulfil this category?A 1-night minimum stay applies to achieve this sustainability category.How do I know that my stay is really sustainable?All of our eligible Green tier hotels have been selected using a range of global eco-accreditation standards and are leaders in the sustainability space. All properties go above and beyond fulfilling the required criteria to minimise their environmental and social impact. Each have embedded the following practices into their everyday operations, showcasing their mission to help travellers achieve a more sustainable hotel experience and reducing their impact while travelling:

If I have a sustainable stay booked but I cancel my booking last minute, will I still receive recognition towards my Green tier status?Your sustainable stay at an eco-accredited hotel will count towards your Green tier status three to four days after you have checked out. Therefore, if you cancel your stay it will not be recognised towards Green tier status.How many bonus points do I receive as part of the Green Bonus for Qantas Hotels?Before Green tier is achieved: Qantas Frequent Flyer members will earn 3 Qantas Points per A$1 spent (unless otherwise specified), for hotel stays booked through qantas.com/hotels.After Green tier is achieved: Qantas Frequent Flyer members will earn 150 Bonus Qantas Points per night when booking any eco-accredited hotel unless otherwise specified, for hotel stays booked through qantas.com/hotels.How will I know if a product on Qantas Hotels is ‘Green’ and that I’ll earn bonus points from it?Eligible properties are listed on the Qantas Hotels page: https://www.qantas.com/hotels/campaigns/sustainable-hotels/

Qantas Frequent Flyer members must stay at chosen hotels in order for the activity to be eligible towards achieving Green tier status. Your Qantas Frequent Flyer number must be added to your booking for the hotel stay to count towards your Green tier activity. The full list of eco-accredited properties recognised by the Qantas Loyalty Green tier program can be found here: https://www.qantas.com/hotels/campaigns/sustainable-hotels/ Properties correct as at 14 February 2022. Your stay will be recognised as a Green tier activity four days after check out.A property will be considered eligible within the Qantas Loyalty Green Tier program if they meet the required sustainability performance criteria. Hotel sustainability performance was assessed based on public information and reports disclosed by listed properties detailing environmental, social and governance issues. Considerations were given to properties with sustainability reporting and strategies aligned with the Global Reporting Initiative, the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board, the Taskforce on Climate-related Financial Disclosures or other industry recognised Sustainability reporting standards or initiatives. Finally consideration was also given to Hotels with recognised performance in sustainability through third party certifications or awards including B Corp, Climate Active, Green Star rating or eligible international certification standards. Any complaints, feedback or recommendations regarding sustainability initiatives and activities will be passed directly to relevant properties requesting a written response.
