How do I use Qantas Points in-store at bp?
To use your Qantas Points in-store you have to:
- Scan your digital Qantas Frequent Flyer Card at the counter
Your digital card can be found in the Qantas app, Apple Wallet or Google Pay. Add your card to your digital wallet or download or update your Qantas app.
- Select ‘accept’ on the pinpad to your use Qantas Points
You can use your Qantas Points to cover the entire purchase, however you can't choose to use a proportion of points only.
- Enter your Reward Code on the pinpad
You can find your unique four-digit Reward Code on your digital Frequent Flyer Card. Find out more about your Reward Code.
- If you don't currently have enough points for the whole transaction, your entire points balance will be used and any remaining balance will need to be paid by cash/card.
To use Qantas Points, you must meet a minimum purchase of $10 per transaction. You're capped at using a maximum of 19,000 points ($100 cash) per transaction or 57,000 points ($300 cash) in total per day.
Members will still earn Qantas Points on the redemption of point transactions.
How do I use Qantas Points via BPme?
To use your Qantas Points via BPme, you have to:
- be a Qantas Frequent Flyer
- be a member of BP Rewards with a Qantas Points earn election
- successfully download and set up a profile in the BPme app

What happens if I scan my Frequent Flyer card at bp when I haven’t joined BP Rewards?
Before scanning your Frequent Flyer card at bp, you must join BP Rewards to earn Qantas Points. If you scan your Frequent Flyer card at bp but haven’t joined BP Rewards, your points won't appear in your account and will be classified as ‘pending points’. To claim the pending points you’ve accumulated at bp, you must join BP Rewards and choose to earn Qantas Points within 12 months of your first scan date. Once you’ve joined BP Rewards, the pending points you’ve accumulated will be credited to your account within seven days. However, if you don't join BP Rewards within 12 months, the pending points you’ve accumulated at bp will lapse and you will be unable to claim them.
What is a Reward Code?
Your Reward Code is a new four-digit code that allows you to use your digital Qantas Frequent Flyer card to use your Qantas Points in-store. It's different to the PIN you use to access your Qantas Frequent Flyer account. Find out more.
Will I be prompted to use Qantas Points on every in-store transaction at bp?
You'll be prompted to use your Qantas Points in-store if you scan your digital Qantas Frequent Flyer card, if you have a minimum of 1,900 points and your eligible transaction is over $10. You can manage your account preferences if you wish to change this.
Can I change my mind if I do not want to use points in-store at bp after I press ‘accept’ when initially prompted?
If you do not wish to use points for your in-store transaction, simply press cancel on the pinpad prior to entering your Reward Code.
Do I earn points on transactions where I use my Qantas Points?
Yes, if you've joined BP Rewards and chosen to earn Qantas Points, youll also earn points on transactions where you use your Qantas Points.
