Lucky Bay, Western Australia
An hour out of Esperance, in the southern part of WA, is a natural gem that offers an amazing flora-and-fauna experience. As you enter Cape Le Grand National Park, the landscape changes in front of your eyes: strangely, it resembles alpine terrain rather than the coastal landscape it is. The view soon reveals Lucky Bay, the whitest beach with the bluest waters, which could be from a postcard. And just when you feel you’ve seen it all, a mob of kangaroos hops along in front of you and then continues down the beach. – Jon Hayes
