If you live in a select regional postcode of Queensland, Western Australia or the Northern Territory, you can unlock more value with Qantas Resident Fares.
About the program
Resident Fares offer residents of selected regional postcodes discounts on return Economy fares from regional airports to their eligible city.
Discounts start from 20% off the base fare, excluding taxes, fees and charges. Whether it’s a last-minute trip or a holiday during peak periods, there’s more value and more flexibility with Resident Fares.
To be eligible, residents need to have a select regional postcode from Queensland, Western Australia, or the Northern Territory linked to their Qantas Frequent Flyer account. If you're not an existing member, you can join for free.
Resident Fares are limited to 12 return trips per resident, per year. They cannot be used with sale fares or on Business fares.

Booking conditions
- Eligible customers in Queensland include residents of a town or city serviced by Barcaldine, Blackall, Cloncurry, Longreach, Moranbah or Mount Isa Airports.
- Eligible customers in Western Australia include residents of a town or city serviced by Broome, Exmouth (Learmonth), Geraldton, Kalgoorlie, Karratha, Newman, Onslow, Paraburdoo or Port Hedland Airports.
- Eligible customers in the Northern Territory include residents of a town or city serviced by Alice Springs Airport.
- A maximum of 12 return trips are permitted to be booked per resident each year.
- Eligible residents can access discounts starting from 20% off the base fare, excluding taxes, fees and charges.
- Discounts are not available on sale fares or Business fares, unless booking eligible fares during the Resident Fares Sale.
- Trips must originate in the regional port and be a return trip. No one-way or multi-city trips are permitted, and no other regional ports qualify. Flights are subject to availability.
- Passenger name and address entered in the booking must be the same as those in the member’s Qantas Frequent Flyer profile.
- Travel must be for leisure or personal purposes only (i.e. not for business).
- Qantas reserves the right to request documentation at any time to confirm the residency of a customer.
- Qantas reserves the right to cancel bookings found to be in breach of the scheme’s terms and conditions.
- Flight prices are per adult in Australian Dollars. Prices are not guaranteed until payment is made.
- Discounted fares for residents are only available for flights operated by Qantas and QantasLink and not with any other carrier.
