Using Qantas Points
When it's time to use your Qantas Points, there are thousands of rewards to choose from. You can transfer points to an eligible family member who is also a Qantas Frequent Flyer.
Top-up points are extra points that you can purchase if you're just a little short of the points required to redeem a selected reward.
* Classic Flight Rewards are available on Qantas, Jetstar and partner airlines. Classic Flight Reward seats are subject to capacity controls and availability is limited. The number of seats available depends on the flight, date, season and destination and some flights may not have any Classic Flight Rewards available. Taxes, fees and carrier charges are payable by an Accepted Payment Card in addition to the Qantas Points required on Classic Flight Reward flights. These are quoted at the time of booking and are subject to change. See Classic Flight Reward section for more details.
^ Points Plus Pay - Flights are available on any flight with a QF, JQ, 3K or GK flight number. A limited number of seats on selected partner airlines (as offered by Qantas at the time of booking on qantas.com) may be combined with Qantas or Jetstar flights in a Points Plus Pay - Flight booking. Partner airline flights which may be combined with Jetstar flights in a Points Plus Pay - Flight booking are more limited than those which may be combined with Qantas flights. ^^ Classic Upgrade Rewards are available on Classic Flight Rewards in Economy and Premium Economy and eligible paid and confirmed Qantas domestic and international flights, with a QF flight number on your ticket. This is subject to capacity controls and availability is limited. Classic Upgrade Rewards are not available for all fare types. You must have a paid and confirmed ticket in an eligible booking class to request a Classic Upgrade Reward. See Classic Upgrade Rewards section for more details and tables for the applicable fares and number of Qantas Points required to request a Classic Upgrade Reward.
** To use points to book for car hire in Australia and New Zealand, Qantas Frequent Flyers must provide their membership number when booking online at qantas.com/cars with the chosen car partner. # Points Plus Pay is a facility on qantas.com which allows you to choose the number of Qantas Points you redeem above a specified minimum level and pay for the remainder of the fare with an approved payment card (including VISA, MasterCard or American Express) to obtain your Points Plus Pay - Flight. Minimum points levels apply, are subject to change and will be quoted at the time of booking.
† Qantas Assure: The total number of Qantas Points that can be earned for each Eligible Qantas Assure Product is subject to capping. A list of Eligible Qantas Assure Products and caps associated with them can be found on the Qantas Assure website. Qantas Frequent Flyer members can accrue Locked Qantas Points by completing activities through the Qantas Assure App. A maximum of 3,000 Locked Qantas Points can be accrued. Locked Qantas Points will expire 12 months after the Member last accrued a Locked Qantas Point. Locked Qantas Points can be converted to Qantas Points following purchase of an Eligible Qantas Assure Product. A joining fee usually applies. However, this will be waived, membership is subject to the Qantas Frequent Flyer Terms and Conditions and each application is subject to approval by Qantas.
~ Qantas Wine Premium membership and its benefits are subject to the Qantas Wine terms and conditions. An annual membership fee usually applies and you must be a Qantas Frequent Flyer member aged 18 years or older to join. You must have an Australian delivery address to purchase wine.
