Status Credits

Unlock a world of privileges and rewards when you fly
Status CreditsΩ determine your Qantas Frequent Flyer tier and therefore, the privileges you receive on Qantas, Jetstar, Emirates and oneworld® flights. Status Credits are all about making flying a more rewarding experience. It's important to note that Status Credits are different to Qantas Points, and that you could earn both at the same time*. The more you fly, the more you earn.
Everyone starts with Bronze and can rise through Silver, Gold and Platinum to Platinum One. As you ascend, you become entitled to more valuable privileges. For instance, the higher your tier, the more Qantas Points you earn for each eligible flight, helping you to reach rewards faster. And when you reach Gold, you gain access to lounges. To see how your Status Credits are tracking, just login to Your Account.

How many Status Credits will you earn on each flight?

The Status CreditsΩ you earn depends on where you fly, as well as your choice of airline and the fare purchased. The more flexible the fare and more premium the cabin, the more you earn. Visit the Earning Points and Status Credits calculator to find out more.
See how many Status Credits you have earned in My Account.
Each tier status starts from the moment you reach it†, to the end of the next, full membership year. The earlier in the membership year you reach a higher tier, the longer you have to make the most of the benefits.
So many opportunities to earn with us and our partners
Make sure that every time you fly, you take the opportunity to move towards higher tiers, and the extra travel privileges on offer, such as lounge access, priority boarding and extra luggage allowance. You can earn Status Credits on all eligible flights with Qantas^, Jetstar, Fiji Airways and oneworld® alliance partners. To maximise your rewards, look for the Qantas (QF) flight number when booking.
Earning Status for life

While your Status Credits are reset at the start of each new membership year, we keep a record of all the Status Credits you've earned since joining the program~. Earn enough Status Credits and Silver, Gold or Platinum membership will be yours for life, regardless of how often you then fly#. It's our way of thanking you for your loyalty over the years.

Even more status support for Qantas Frequent Flyers
We understand Frequent Flyers have had fewer opportunities to earn Status Credits with reduced flying and travel restrictions. That’s why throughout 2020 we’ve offered members support to help retain their tier. Now we’re offering to extend the status of eligible members for a further 12 months. Members simply need to book a Qantas flight before their membership year ends.
Find out more about Status Support
