Earning Status for life

It's our way of thanking you for your loyalty over the years.

While your Status Credits reset at the start of each new Membership Year, we keep a record of all the Status Credits you've earned since joining the program. Earn enough Status Credits and Silver, Gold or Platinum membership will be yours for life, regardless of how often you then fly.

Silver membership tier card

Lifetime Silver status

Lifetime status requirements:
7,000 Status Credits

Silver membership benefits for life include:

  • Extra checked baggage allowance on most Qantas flights
  • Priority check-in
  • 50% Status Bonus on Qantas and Jetstar as well as American Airlines
  • oneworld® Ruby status

Gold membership tier card

Lifetime Gold status

Lifetime status requirements:
14,000 Status Credits

Gold membership benefits for life include:

  • Global lounge privileges with access to over 600 Qantas and partner lounges
  • Priority boarding
  • 75% Status Bonus on Qantas and Jetstar as well as American Airlines
  • oneworld® Sapphire status

Platinum membership tier card

Lifetime Platinum status

Lifetime status requirements:
75,000 Status Credits

Platinum membership benefits for life include:

  • Access to Qantas International First and Domestic Business Lounges
  • Priority international upgrades
  • Priority baggage on Qantas, regardless of your class of travel
  • 100% Status Bonus on Qantas and Jetstar as well as American Airlines
  • oneworld® Emerald status

Additionally, Lifetime Platinum members benefit from access to the Qantas VIP Service Team.

Lifetime members can see their lifetime status at the bottom of their digital Qantas Frequent Flyer card. To view your digital card:
