Qantas and China Eastern

Qantas' partnership with China Eastern has opened up a realm of new travel options between Australia and China.

Network

Qantas operates daily services between Sydney and Shanghai, and Sydney and Beijing 5 days a week. In addition, Qantas codeshare customers have access to over 40 direct flights per week between Australia and Shanghai, Wuhan, Kunming, Hangzhou (Beijing) and Nanjing (Beijing), operated by China Eastern. Customers can travel to Shanghai via a Qantas operated flight between Australia and Singapore (six flights per day) and connect to a Qantas codeshare flight operated by China Eastern (four flights per day).

From Shanghai customers can connect to ninteen codeshare destinations throughout China, operated by China Eastern. Including: Chengdu, Dalian, Fuzhou, Harbin, Kunming, Qingdao, Shenyang, and Xi’an.

Sometimes everything doesn't go to plan. Qantas recognises the impact delays and missed connections can have on your plans and on your life. In the event this happens to you, below is some key information.

Missed connections:

If you missed a connection due to the late arrival of your aircraft, the delivering carrier is responsible for ensuring you make your final destination.

Lost baggage:

If your baggage doesn't arrive on the same flight as you. Please contact the Arrival Service desk of the delivering carrier in the arrivals hall. A delayed baggage report will be created.
