NAIDOC Week 2025

Qantas is proud to celebrate NAIDOC Week.

We strive to reflect the spirit of Australia. That spirit isn't 200 years old. It's over 60,000 years old.

It's an unbelievably vast history of people, culture and knowledge.

Through our commitment to advancing national reconciliation, we seek to honour that knowledge, celebrate those cultures, and make amends for past wrongs. Learn more our commitment to reconciliation

This NAIDOC Week, we proudly celebrate the spirit of storytelling through our 25-year partnership with Bangarra Dance Theatre. Together, we elevate First Nations stories as central to Australia’s identity connecting audiences both locally and globally to the richness and power of over 65,000 years of culture and storytelling.

As a Gold Sponsor of the 2025 National NAIDOC Week Awards, we continue to celebrate the history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

We’re also proud to recognise and celebrate First Nations talent within the Qantas Group through our NAIDOC Employee Awards, highlighting the incredible contributions of our team members.

This year's theme, The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy.

As we enter 2025, NAIDOC Week marks a powerful milestone: 50 years of honoring and elevating Indigenous voices, culture, and resilience.

NAIDOC history

NAIDOC stands for National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee. Its origins can be traced to the emergence of Aboriginal groups in the 1920′s which sought to increase awareness in the wider community of the status and treatment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians.
