Download the Qantas Entertainment App before you fly to start watching from the moment you board, until landing at your destination.
The app is used to stream Qantas Entertainment to your own device on our domestic aircraft, except those fitted with seat-back screens.
You'll need to download the app before you travel with us and bring your device with you to stream Qantas Entertainment from the moment you board until landing at your destination. See 'what's on' this month.

Once onboard, connect your device to our inflight entertainment in 3 simple steps:
1. Turn on Flight Mode.
2. Enable Wi-Fi and connect to the Q-Streaming or Qantas Free Wi-Fi network.
3. Launch the Qantas Entertainment app.
What devices can be used?
Can I connect to Qantas Free Wi-Fi using the Qantas Entertainment app?
The Qantas Entertainment app is used to watch movies and TV shows provided by Qantas; it doesn't connect to the internet using Qantas Free Wi-Fi. On selected domestic Australian flights, where Qantas Free Wi-Fi is available, you can access the internet through your browser.
Can I use the app when I'm not onboard an aircraft?
The Qantas Entertainment app is only available onboard Qantas aircraft, except those with seat-back screens.
You must use your device in accordance with our personal electronic device policy and follow the instructions of cabin crew at all times. They'll advise when you are able to use your device and when Flight Mode must be enabled. Devices without Flight Mode can't be used at any time and must be switched off.
How do I connect to the Qantas Entertainment network?
Connecting to a Wi-Fi network varies from device to device, but the process is no different to connecting to a hotspot in a hotel or internet café. On most devices you can view and connect to available Wi-Fi networks within the settings option.
The network name on the aircraft will appear as 'Q Streaming 1', 'Q Streaming 2' or 'Qantas Free Wi-Fi'.
Does the aircraft have onboard charging for my device?
Selected 2-class B717s have onboard charging available in Business (both USB and laptop power). Charging outlets aren't available in Economy on these aircraft or the B737 aircraft without seat-back screens. Read more about inflight communication.
What do I do if I can't connect onboard or the app isn't working on my device?
Make sure you have the latest app version, that your device meets the compatibility criteria and is set to the correct date and time. Check with our cabin crew that you're on an aircraft fitted with the Qantas Entertainment app.
The large variation in personal devices does make it challenging to ensure problem-free operation on all potential devices brought onboard. The Qantas Entertainment app is continually developing to ensure operation on a wide range of popular devices. To assist with this you can share your experience with us using our Customer Care form.
How can Flight Mode be selected when I need to turn Wi-Fi on?
Although Flight Mode will be activated, Wi-Fi can still be turned on. Having the device in Flight Mode will ensure your mobile network and Bluetooth transmissions are disabled.
Disclaimer: ^The Qantas Entertainment app is compatible with selected phones and tablets running Apple iOS13 or above, or Android 7.0 and above. Your device will also need to support 802.11n or 802.11ac Wi-Fi with the ability to set your device to Flight Mode. Laptop support is currently being planned and more information will be added soon.
Selected featured content may not be available on your flight. Inflight entertainment varies by route and aircraft.

For safety reasons once onboard, we ask when connecting to the Q Streaming network that you set your device to Flight Mode with Wi-Fi turned on. Due to Australian Aviation Safety Regulations devices without Flight Mode aren't able to be used at any time and must be switched off. Please refer to the Inflight Communication page for more information on the use of personal devices during your flight. ^
