Airport check-in opens 3 hours before the first Qantas international flight and closes 1 hour before departure.

Online check-in is currently available from Johannesburg when the first flight is a Qantas international flight (QF1-199), and other eligible connecting flights operated by oneworld, partner and codeshare airlines. Online Check-in opens 24 hours before your flight departure and closes 2 hours before international flight departures.
The terminals in Johannesburg operate as 'Silent Terminals'. This means no boarding announcements, or calls for passengers are made over loudspeakers. It is up to passengers to check screens for boarding gate information and times.
At the boarding gate
Customers are reminded that an Australian Government liquids, aerosols and gels (LAGS) restrictions apply. Additional checks are conducted at the gate lounge with all liquids, aerosols and gels over 100mls not permitted to be brought onboard including bottled water purchased in the terminal. Duty Free can be purchased and will be brought to the aircraft by Duty Free staff before departure. You'll need to show your receipt for collection of Duty Free goods.

It's a short 5 minute walk between the International terminal (Terminal A) and the Domestic terminal (Terminal B).
