Meet May

From Vietnam and currently based in Los Angeles, May took up the opportunity to become a Qantas Explorer. She began her adventure exploring Sydney and its beautiful beaches, before stopping off in picturesque Bryon Bay. From there she flew to the heart of Australia; Alice Springs. Finally, May discovered the vibrant city life of Melbourne before flying back to LA.

Arriving in Darwin he visited the Top End’s largest city. From there, he flew to the cultural heart of Australia and took in the ancient wonders of Uluru. No trip to the Northern Territory would be complete without a stop in Alice Springs before flying back home to the US.

After arriving in the state’s capital of Perth, he boarded a ferry bound for Rottnest Island, home to the Quokka. Next up was diving with the whale sharks in Learmonth - must see for any adventurer. From there it was a short flight back to Perth to explore the Margaret River wineries.

How to book and save

Know what you want to do and where you'd like to go? Then book all your flights at the same time by choosing the multi-city option when making your Qantas international flight booking.

Or, once you've booked your eligible Economy or Premium Economy international flights with us to Australia, follow these simple steps to book your domestic flights to take advantage of great fares:

  1. Sign in to your international booking from the Manage Booking page with your booking reference or sign in to your Qantas Frequent Flyer bookings.
  2. If your booking is eligible, you'll see a promotional image giving you the option to book your domestic Australian flights.

  • Important information

    The Qantas Explorer must be purchased simultaneously with a trans-Pacific Qantas or American Airlines fare from the US to Australia round trip or one way from the US to Australia. Travel is in Economy on Qantas or on Qantas codeshare flights operated by Qantas Link, Jetstar, Alliance Airlines or Air North. No charge for date change; routing change is US$40 per transaction per person. An additional service fee of US$40/AU$80/NZ$80 per person applies for each change made via telephone, retail outlet, or an airport ticket counter, depending on the country where the change is made. The cancellation charge is based on the Qantas international ticket conditions, except that tickets purchased one week or more before departure may be cancelled without charge within 24 hours of ticketing. Child discounts do not apply. Discounts for infants (under 2 years) not occupying a seat are permitted at 10% of the applicable adult fare. No minimum stay; maximum stay 330–350 days from the date of reservation. Seats are limited and may not be available on every flight or day. Other restrictions apply. Airfare is an additional US$30 for reservations made by telephone. Hearing impaired persons may dial 711 (National Relay Service) to contact Qantas at 1 800 227 4500.
