We have over 7,000 people currently working in our airport terminals across Australia in roles ranging from Customer Service agents, Qantas Club customer service staff, Ramp and Baggage Services, aircraft cleaning and drivers, and transport staff.

Join Qantas Freight Operations and you’ll be joining a forward-thinking team that specialises in getting things where they need to be. As Australia’s largest independent air freight services business, we move over 4,000 air freight shipments to more than 500 destinations globally every day. You’ll work with teams at our 22 specialist cargo handling terminals across Australia and in Los Angeles to solve logistical challenges and work together with customers to drive our business forwards.
We’re a diverse operation and definitely not your normal 9-5 operation. Depending on your location, you’ll find coolrooms and freezers for perishables, warmrooms for shipments vulnerable to cold weather, strongrooms for secure storage and dry and wet ice for re-icing.
Every day presents new opportunities for the freight team. As well as our fleet of 14 dedicated, state-of-the-art aircraft, we provide belly space for customers on Qantas, Jetstar Australia, Jetstar New Zealand, Regional Express (REX) and Air North passenger flights.

Working in our Baggage Handling facility, you’ll ensure that our customers' luggage and freight is scanned then loaded and unloaded from aircraft in a safe and timely manner. You'll need to be physically fit and able to perform regular lifting duties of up to 30kgs.
You'll also need a positive can-do attitude, willingness to learn, reliable nature and the desire to be part of a hard-working, safety conscious team. To succeed, you will be able to bounce back when things go wrong or change and you'll also need to get along well with others.

Our fleet presentation staff follow clear procedures and timeframes to clean and maintain our aircraft to the highest standards after each flight. The team understands priorities and what needs to be delivered, taking the initiative to keep things moving. Our team navigates through a complex work environment, and delivers on our customers’ expectations.
As part of our Fleet Presentation team, you'll jump on and off aircraft throughout your day ensuring all designated areas are clean and hygienic in time for the next flight's customers to enjoy. You'll need to be physically fit, agile and flexible.
For all roles you'll also need:
- to be available to work a 7 day rotating shift roster including early morning and late nights
- a valid provisional or full Australian Drivers Licence.
