This is Your Chance to Sleep on a US$200,000 Bed

Is this the most luxurious bed in existence?
Regent Seven Seas’ newest cruiser, the Seven Seas Splendor, will be home to one of the most decadent suites to ever cruise the high seas.

The Regent Suite, which at a whopping 412 square metres is 20 times larger than the average ship stateroom, features a personal sauna, steam room and spa-treatment space adorned with Italian marble.
But its most show-stopping feature is in the master bedroom. The custom, handcrafted king-size bed from Vividus is worth an eye-watering US$200,000 (AU$276,600).
A team of four put in more than 300 man-hours at the Hästens workshop in Sweden to build to plush cradle. The mattress sits on a pinewood frame, as well as layers of flax, horsetail hair and cotton and wool batting.

And if the chance to score the best night’s sleep of your life hasn’t sold you, the exclusive residence also features an unobstructed 270-degree view over the ship’s bow through floor-to-ceiling windows, another bedroom, living and dining areas and a private balcony.
A pre-voyage concierge is also on hand to create a personalised experience and can do everything from dressing the bed in your desired linen to spritzing your favourite scent throughout the suite.
The Seven Seas Splendor sets off on her maiden voyage in February 2020. Prices for the Regent Suite start at US$11,000 (AUD$15,400) per night (based on double occupancy) so start saving for the 2021 season – her 2020 season has almost sold out.
