Accidentally Wes Anderson
Even if you haven't seen a film directed by American auteur Wes Anderson, chances are you know what they look like. Symmetry and saturation reigns supreme in the Anderson universe, as do quirky, cagey characters and wistful typography. Films such as The Royal Tenebaums and The Grand Budapest Hotel have spawned their own visual imitations across the world in the form of café and hotel interiors – even Instagram pages. One page in particular, @accidentallywesanderson, collects places around the world that pay unexpected homage to the director's distinctive visual style - and it didn't take long to gain a huge following.
