Don’t miss the Barangaroo Welcome Celebration

Sydney’s highly anticipated harbour foreshore park, Barangaroo Reserve, will be welcomed with a thee-month program of events, including live music, art installations, talks and site tours.
Celebrations begin with the Giant Picnic on September 6 and will feature some of the country’s top caterers and provedores including Aria Catering, Bourke Street Bakery and Fratelli Fresh.
The festivities will encompass a different theme every month – stone, sea and sky – and represent the history of the place and its people.
The Cutaway, a new art space built beneath the Barangaroo headland, will host a rotation of cultural showcases including the large-scale sculpture by contemporary artist Brook Andrew entitled Stone – The Weight of History, The Mark of Time.
September will also see a fantastic line-up of musicians and entertainers including Casey Donovan and Pirra (September 6), Marcus Corowa (September 13, 26), Leah Flanagan (September 12, 20, 27) and the Koomurri Dancers (September 12, 19, 26).
