Thanks to the MGallery Literary Collection series, budding authors and fans of literature can experience a stay in a boutique hotel that’s as inspiring as it is indulgent.
The Wheeler Centre has teamed up with MGallery hotels to put on a series of events around Australia that are the perfect mix of literature and luxury.
Listen to an award-winning Australian author speak about their creative career as you enjoy a delectable dinner – matched with wines – before spending the night in deluxe boutique accommodation.
The MGallery Literary Collection series, which kicked off in April, sees eight authors – including Favel Parrett, who stayed at Mount Lofty House in the Adelaide Hills, and Toni Jordan, who stayed at Fairmont Resort Blue Mountains – complete a writing residency at an MGallery hotel. During their stay they join the reading public in a conversation about their craft, before penning a short story inspired by their stays.
The next event in the series will be held at The Como Melbourne on September 17, where Offspring co-creator and head writer Debra Oswald will talk about what it takes to create successful TV shows and novels, while guests delight in a four-course dinner.
The events continue through to November. For more information, head here.
