Here’s Where to Get Your Uber at Every Australian Airport

Considering there are designated Uber pick up spots at 15 major Australian airports, you can luckily do just that.

There's an additional benefit to requesting an Uber using the Qantas app at one of these eligible airports, too; you can earn Qantas Frequent Flyer points as you cruise on home. First time users will also be rewarded too - members that link their Uber and Frequent Flyer accounts through the Qantas app will earn an additional 2,000 Qantas Points on their first Uber ride anywhere in the country.

Sydney

Sydney

Sydney Airport pickup locations vary on your terminal of arrival and the type of rideshare you’re after. At the International or Domestic Terminal, head to Limo Pickup for Uber Premium. For all other ride options, follow the bright green signs to Priority Pickup. Sydney Airport charges a $4.20 fee for all pickups and this fee will be automatically added to your fare. 

Melbourne

Brisbane airport

For arrivals into Terminals 1, 2, and 3, the Pickup Zone is located between the bus lane and short-term car park. For arrivals into Terminal 4, the Pickup Zone is located on Level 2 of the T4 car park. Melbourne Airport charges a $4.48 fee for all pickups and this will be automatically added to your fare.

Brisbane

Perth airport

If you've touched down in the Domestic terminal, you’ll need to head toward the Pre-Booked Express and Ride Booking pickup area. For bookings made from the International terminal, walk toward the buses and coaches passenger pickup zone. Brisbane Airport charges a $3.90 fee for all pickups and this fee will be automatically added to your fare. 

Perth

For Terminals 1-4, follow the signs to the designated Ride Share pickup bays. Perth Airport charges a $3 fee for all pickups and this fee will be automatically added to your fare. 

Adelaide

Coolongatta airport

Exit the terminal and follow the signs to the Ride Share pickup area, which is located across the forecourt and to the left of the multi-level car park. Adelaide Airport charges a $3 fee for all pickups and this fee will be automatically added to your fare. 

Gold Coast

Cairns airport

Meet your driver in the pickup area outside the terminal. Gold Coast Airport charges a $3 fee for all pickups and this fee will be automatically added to your fare. 

Cairns

Townsvilla airport

Follow the signs to the “Ride-Booking” zone. Travellers coming from domestic arrivals should turn right after leaving the terminal, whereas those coming from international arrivals should turn left after leaving the terminal. Cairns Airport charges a $2.42 fee for all pickups and drop-offs and this fee will be automatically added to your fare. 

Townsville

Canberra airport

Travellers should meet their driver at the “Uber Collection Point”. Townsville Airport charges a $3 fee for all pickups and this will be automatically added to your fare.

Canberra

Newcastle airport

At Canberra Airport, your driver will pick you up from the Express pickup carpark. In the meantime, you can wait for their arrival at the Express pickup lounge. Canberra Airport charges a $3 fee for all pickups and this will be automatically added to your fare.

Newcastle

Avalon airport

At the domestic and international terminal, simply head outside to meet your driver in the commercial pickup zones.

Head to the Uber pickup bay outside. 

Hobart

Cross the pedestrian crossing outside the Arrivals terminal and turn right to the far side of the car park area.

Public pickup: Ballina, Maroochydore and Brisbane West Wellcamp (Toowoomba) airports

Make your way to public pick up zones at these three airports, with no additional fees involved.
