Is Your Business Missing Out on Qantas Points and Savings?
Designed for small and medium Australian businesses, Qantas Business Rewards offers a range of flight savings and benefits for you and your team. Whether you’re a sole trader or medium-sized business, you can take advantage of discounted Qantas flights as well as other cost savings, all while earning Qantas Points for future travel, upgrades and hotels. You’ll also unlock more ways to earn Qantas Points on your everyday business expenses on the ground with 50+ partners, including fuel, energy and insurance providers.* Here are five ways to ensure you’re taking full advantage of the Qantas Business Rewards flight benefits while maximising your points balance.
Join Qantas Business Rewards and save up to 10% on flights
1/6Face-to-face connections are essential for growing a business and it’s more important than ever to get the most out of work travel. Qantas Business Rewards members save up to 10% on the base fare of selected Qantas flights, plus up to 5% off Red e-Deals,* and earn more Qantas Points when flying, as well as earning on the ground with 50-plus partners.
For the not-for-profit Pilbara Meta Maya Regional Aboriginal Corporation (PMMRAC), based in WA, Qantas Business Rewards flight savings help get staff into remote areas and save the organisation thousands of dollars a year. “Our profits go back to the communities we serve. What we save on airfares pays for programs making a difference now and in the future,” says PMMRAC CEO Rachael Christensen.
The cost savings can have a big impact on larger operations, too. “In the first quarter of this financial year we booked more than 1,600 flights,” says Tony Hennessy from Brisbane-based construction company BMD Group. “Flight savings and the ability to offset costs with points is a game changer.”
Book flights through your Qantas Business Rewards account and never miss out on points
2/6Your Qantas Business Rewards account makes it easier to book and manage travel for your whole team while ensuring you never miss out on Qantas Points and offers on eligible flights, hotels, car hire and more.* You’ll also be able to access exclusive savings and reports to make business travel more efficient.
Save time by storing travellers’ details and company credit cards, redeem your business’s points on flights and upgrades or transfer them to a Frequent Flyer account,* access and download monthly reports to make reconciling travel expenses seamless – plus you can help ensure your team and your business earn maximum points.
Using these tools and features helped the Australian String Quartet (ASQ) streamline its travel arrangements during 2022 when the organisation clocked up 100 shows and around 300 flights. “The Qantas Business Rewards dashboard makes it easy to book and manage travel for our whole team in a way that ensures maximum points and flight savings,” says ASQ chief executive Angelina Zucco. “It saves a lot of time.”
Tell your team to add the business's ABN when booking flights
3/6Remind your staff to include your business’s ABN when booking. That way, they’ll earn Qantas Points for the business while also earning points and Status Credits for themselves as Qantas Frequent Flyers.
And by entering the business’s ABN, the traveller earns a Flyer Bonus of 250 Qantas Points on each booking,* helping boost their own points balance.
For Sydney-based company Vegepod, changing travel-booking behaviours in their team has been a win-win. “We instruct all our staff to enter our ABN as well as their Qantas Frequent Flyer number when booking,” says co-founder Simon Holloway. “That way, they earn points and the business earns points, too. More points for the business means more business trips.”

Move up the tiers of the program and unlock more points and savings
4/6There are three tiers of Qantas Business Rewards membership, each unlocking more savings, points and benefits. Level 3 members get maximum flight savings of up to 10% on selected flights,* earn 40 points for the business for every 100 points their travellers earn* and have access to a Gold Accelerator.*
This allows the business to nominate one traveller each year and help fast-track them to Gold Frequent Flyer status. The nominated Frequent Flyer will have 90 days to earn 200 Status Credits on new flight bookings departing within that period in order to attain Gold Frequent Flyer status.*
Renae James, founder of the Sydney-based sleepwear brand, Papinelle, has seen the benefits for her staff and as well as the business. “Papinelle recently became a Level 3 Qantas Business Rewards member which means we can nominate one of our team for a Gold Accelerator,” she says. “Gold Frequent Flyer benefits, like access to lounges and priority check-in and boarding, make business travel more comfortable – especially when the days are long and our staff are away from their families. Plus the extra baggage allowance is great for samples.”
Save up to 30% on Qantas Club memberships
5/6Make travelling for work more comfortable for you and your team with access to more than 30 domestic lounges and more than 600 Qantas and partner lounges worldwide.
Qantas Business Rewards members save up to 30% on Qantas Club membership* and the leaders at Brown Family Wine Group are delighted to be able to pass this offer onto their staff.
“I really love the fact that we get a 30% discount on Qantas Club membership for all of our team,” says Katherine Brown, winemaker at the Victorian-based producer of labels such as Brown Brothers and Devil’s Corner. Group marketing manager Emma Brown adds, “We use the Qantas Lounge so often… it’s hugely important with the kind of travel we do.”
