Walk and Bike Around Queenstown

One of the best ways to take in Queenstown’s beauty is on foot or by bike. The 120km Queenstown Trail is a network of walking and cycling tracks spanning two lakes, three rivers, three towns and 10 bridges, including the picture-perfect Edgar suspension bridge. There are treks for all abilities – easy, intermediate and advanced – making them suitable for the whole family. There are seven routes in total; visit Queenstown Trail to pick your trail and download a map. The 15km Lake Wakatipu Ride is ideal for a leisurely ride or a long walk, or cover the 8km Lake Hayes Circuit; it’s a great way to check out local wildlife and some of the region’s most historic cottages. For a challenge, the 12km Jack’s Point Ride has steep climbs and descents fit for advanced riders.
