The Best Places to Shop in Queenstown

With New Zealand labels such as Verge, David Pond, Redhead, Scarlett and Loobie’s Story, D T Carter is the last word in local designer fashion for women. Close to the airport, the store is a short drive east from the centre of the town.
Men should make their way to Sergios on Athol Street for international brands such as Hugo Boss, Paul Smith, Diesel, Ben Sherman and Scotch & Soda, as well as local labels such as Dom Bagnato and Escena.
There’s plenty for kids, too, with Rockies specialising in clothes for newborns through to 16-year-olds. Find clothing labels such as Catimini, Minti, Billabong, Roxy, Quiksilver, Icebreaker and Munster here, as well as a range of footwear from brands including Converse, Skechers, DC, Globe, Ecco and Bobux.
For souvenir shopping, head for the Creative Queenstown Arts & Craft Market, held on Saturdays throughout the year at Earnslaw Park. Everything you find here, including bowls carved from tree trunks and stoneware pots shaped in an electric kiln at 1300°C, is entirely made in New Zealand.
