This knitwear designer does irresistible classic American-style casual knits, as well as jeans and T-shirts. Near her store in the Fillmore District you’ll find dozens of good boutiques, including the lush and lovely Alice + Olivia at 2259 Fillmore Street (and a second Steve Alan store at 1919 Fillmore Street).
