5 Bakeries to Try in San Francisco

San Francisco has lots of good bakeries and coffee. Here are a few to get you started.
Tartine Bakery
If you want a loaf of one of the most famous sourdough breads in America, you need to line up at 4.30 pm – the idea is fresh bread for dinner, toast for breakfast – as it sells out in a flash. But there are also great pastries and sandwiches.
600 Guerrero Street, Mission
The Mill
The café-bakery of local bread-making sensation Josey Baker.
736 Divisadero Street, Western Addition
Ritual Coffee
You’ll find it in the Mission, Hayes Valley and Bay View.
Sight Glass Coffee
This is in six locations around San Francisco, including the Ferry Building, SoMa and the Mission.
Trouble Coffee and Coconut Club
This place is so far to the north it is practically in the Pacific. Grapefruit juice, coffee, fresh coconut, cinnamon toast. That’s it.
4033 Judah Street, Outer Sunset
