Meat takes centre stage at this Korean-inspired eatery and there are a couple of ways to approach chef David Chang’s menu: sample a bunch of small plates (hot tip: order the pillowy, steamed pork belly buns; they are so good they inspire citywide treks from locals) or, if dining with a group of three to six people, try to snag a reservation for the whole rotisserie duck meal with chive pancakes, hoisin sauce and seasonal sides (it’s a feast). Chang’s New York empire spans four restaurants, a bar and six Milk Bar bakeries (the cereal milk soft serve is legendary) but this location’s long counter and boisterous vibe provides a night to remember.
