Billing itself as a “creative niche for the exploration of concepts and ideas”, this design store opened in 2007 and has since become a local favourite. With an emphasis on fun and whimsy, the pieces here are from a roster of international designers, though a number of locals also feature. Many items are surprisingly affordable and smaller pieces like boldly coloured wall clocks or messenger bags made of old London fire hoses are ready to be slipped into your luggage. Resin coat hooks in the shape of moulded human hands, Addams-family-Thing-style, make great gifts and are guaranteed to prompt some confused looks at airport x-ray machine.
