As soon as you enter this bookshop, you leave the cacophony of Sunset Boulevard behind. The floor-to-ceiling shelves are packed with tomes; the store’s collections are especially rich in art, film, photography and literary fiction. Particularly thoughtful are the staff’s handwritten “recommended reading” notes placed under volumes. Magazines lovers can peruse quirky publications from all around the world; tchotchke collectors will find a good selection of stationery, figurines, table accessories and knick-knacks.
