If you’re walking north along the Barcelona beachfront from Barceloneta it’s hard to miss Frank Gehry's glistening Paix (Fish) statue sitting right at the foot of Hotel Arts. As a part of the Ritz-Carlton family it’s no surprise that it’s large and luxurious, with all the five-star staples: spacious and well-appointed rooms and suites, a pool, gym, spa with a view and fine dining.
They go the extra mile with their family program, starting with little touches such as gifts on arrival for kids as a part of their “Ritz Kids” program and extending to Luxury Family Packages that do change but usually include special rates on their two- and three-bedroom suites, airport transfers and butler service. This hotel also has a focus on accessibility, with larger, 32-inch-wide door openings and easily navigated routes to the hotel’s restaurants and registration desk.
Just north of Barceloneta, this purpose-built sliver of a district is bound by beaches on either side with boats docked out front in its square-shaped marina. It’s within easy walking distance of sprawling Ciutadella Park and accessible via the Ciutadella/Vila Olimpica Metro station.
