Staying in the 15th and after somewhere to eat that’s a little less traditional brasserie, more design gem? Restaurateurs Jean-Louis Costes and Fabienne and Philippe Amzalak’s combined project Electric features 1970s-inspired interiors by London’s industrial design star Tom Dixon.

Just blocks from the Eiffel Tower, Electric is perhaps the area’s most stylish option for a work breakfast or lunch and especially so if you want to break away from the tourist trail. The walls are elaborately titled with copper-honeycomb plates as circular booths are finished in rich rust or teal leather, which collectively beckon you back for cocktail hour.

Location

This residential district is located to the south west of the city on the Left Bank of the river Seine and is in close proximity to the Eiffel Tower. It also shares the Montparnasse district with the 6th and 14th and lays claim to the modern, cosmopolitan high-rise area of the Front de Seine.
