Rosa’s Kitchen

Sometimes you just want to eat the dishes Nonna used to make and Rosa Mitchell is Melbourne’s nonna. Much of the produce used in her no-nonsense Italian food is sourced from her own farm at Yandoit, northwest of Melbourne, and the fresh flavours shine through. Tuck into a plate of penne with beef shin ragu or rabbit cooked with marsala and rosemary and served with pearl barley. The room is nothing fancy, with an open kitchen and the day’s specials written on the blackboard, but the atmosphere, food and service is so down to earth you’ll feel as though you’re at home.
Location
Chinatown is one of the Melbourne CBD’s coolest hubs, with hidden bars and amazing restaurants on the doorstep. It’s also steps from theatres and great shopping.
