Henschke

More than 170 years ago Johann Christian Henschke fled what is now Germany in search of religious freedom. He ended up in the Barossa where he planted grapes to create wine for family and friends. Five generations later the Henschke family continues to build on the foundations he laid, with wines that are lauded by the red wine world. Famous for Hill of Grace and Mount Edelstone, Henschke focuses on ultra-premium single-vineyard wines and uses organic and biodynamic principles to enrich the land that Johann first tilled. Visit the cellar door in Keyneton or book the VIP Tour and Tasting. It includes exclusive access to the centuries-old Hill of Grace Vineyard and a comprehensive tasting in the Henschke’s private cellar.
Location
The Henscke cellar door is in the Eden Valley. Known as the Garden of Grapes and Gums, the valley boasts vineyards dotted with magnificent red gums and moss-covered rocks. Together with the Barossa Valley, it forms the Barossa region. Henchske is a 15-minute’s drive to Angaston (population 2000) where you can visit Taste Eden Valley, a regional wine room.
