Whether you were born to be wild or are a touch more mild, a Barossa Unique Tours’ trike adventure will get your motor running as you take in the Barossa’s sights from the back of a bright yellow or red custom-built trike. Host Tony Tscharke, a local who grew up in the Barossa and has made wine here and in California, provides commentary throughout the ride via in-helmet intercom. A variety of tours are available – you can choose your own cellar doors or ask Tony to share his favourites, and explore local produce from soft cheese to traditional smoked meats and micro-brewed beer or cider. As befits a Barossa trike, there’s room for a case of wine in the back.

Location

This tour roams across the Barossa, the fertile region that early colonist Johannes Menge praised as “the cream, the whole cream and nothing but the cream”. Today the region is home to dozens of famous wineries and food experiences. Transfers from Adelaide are available.
