Jamie’s Italian, Brisbane

As Brisbane comes of age, Jamie Oliver comes to town − one of the more recent perks of the city’s foodie awakening. With a modern approach to traditional Italian fare, the casual setting makes it perfect for dining with the kids. And while some children may be au fait with prosciutto and pecorino, Jamie’s kids menu will appease both the fussiest and most adventurous of little eaters. Most children can’t pass up the old-school spaghetti bolognese, but there are also mini sliders, tomato pasta bake or good old fish fingers and chips. Those with larger appetites can enjoy a range of antipasti, mains and pastas. While there’s no lasagne on the menu, try something new like the lamb and ricotta ravioli. And don’t leave without sharing a serve of the famous polenta chips.
