At the edge of the city’s south-east is Darwin’s Waterfront precinct — Adina Apartment Hotel set just back from this man-made stretch of sand. From here, it’ll take you about 15 minutes to reach Darwin Airport by taxi.

What’s near Adina Apartment Hotel Darwin Waterfront?

The city’s saltwater lagoon and wave pool, which fields crowds on warmer days, is just below, less than 40 metres away. The city’s other favoured stretch of sand, Mindil Beach, is about 10 minutes north by car. Bring your appetite on Thursdays and Sundays at sundown, when the Mindil Beach Sunset food markets gather some of the most diverse (and delicious) food in the state.

Room types 

There’s nothing unnecessary in Adina’s clean, simple spaces. The rooms range from studios to apartments, inclusive of bathtubs and kitchenettes, with the two-bedder being the most spacious (and the most vibrantly decorated). The latter includes a lounge space and a balcony — we suggest selecting one that faces the waterfront.

Restaurants and bars 

Curve Restaurant & Bar, the hotel’s on-site eatery, has a light and bright feel, with one edge opening to a green outdoor area. The menu is a tasty mix of hearty favourites — burgers, jaffles, BBQ ribs — as well as a few curveballs that reflect the area’s diverse mix of flavours and influences. If you’re leaning towards the latter, Chef Prem’s curry with Malaysian roti is a solid choice. 

Travel for work

All rooms are perfectly equipped with full-sized desks and free wi-fi; there are four meeting rooms on-site, one of which makes the most of the location with a balcony overlooking the waterfront. 

Gym and pool

Along with an on-site fitness centre, guests will find an outdoor pool with shade screens and sun loungers. 

What you need to know

Keen anglers will appreciate the proximity to Stokes Hill Wharf, a 10-minute walk from the hotel, where there’s a dedicated fishing platform for reeling in tuna, queenfish or trevally.
