Held on the first and third Sunday of each month, Brewery Yard Markets are one of the most popular in Sydney's inner west. A handpicked selection of stallholders selling fresh produce, fashion, flora and homewares are accompanied by live entertainment and art demonstrations. Grab breakfast from one of the many food stalls and take a seat in the sunshine. The markets are held on the beautiful grounds of Central Park, just five minutes’ walk from Sydney’s Central Station.

Chippendale is quickly becoming Sydney’s cultural capital. A slew of art galleries – the most well-known being White Rabbit – attracts local creatives, while its convenient location amid the universities has made it a hub for dining and nightlife. Check out the plethora of bars and restaurants along Kensington Street, including Mekong, Olio and Gin Lane and the Asian eateries along Spice Lane. Outside of this precinct, Ester, LP’s Quality Meats and Freda’s are all worth a visit.
