You’d be hard-pressed to find an activity more quintessentially Sydney than the Bondi to Coogee coastal walk.
Start at Bondi Icebergs and traverse the spectacular cliff tops of Tamarama, Bronte and Clovelly, finally arriving at Coogee. The six-kilometre walk spans beaches, parks and rock pools, with plenty of pitstops along the way to rest, eat and swim. Jump in the water at Bondi, McIvers and Wileys Baths, all beautiful spots for a swim, or the protected waters of Gordons Bay (pictured top) or Clovelly. Picnic areas, toilets and change rooms are all easily accessible along the way. The strip between Bondi and Tamarama is home to much-loved exhibition Sculpture by the Sea (annually between October and November), featuring more than 100 sculptures by artists from Australia and around the world.

Bondi to Coogee Coastal Walk

A cool blend of surfers and socialites, Bondi is one the city’s most iconic locations. The beach is perfect for a dip; Gould and Hall Streets are teeming with cosy cafés and boutiques; a slew of yoga and Pilates studios have made the area a hub for healthy living. Over the past few years, Bondi has also become one of the city’s most popular dining destinations. Enjoy a tipple at one of the relaxed wine bars – try Neighbourhood or Bondi Hardware – and sample fresh seafood at Matt Moran’s North Bondi Fish.
