Byron Bay got a little sweeter in December 2014 with the opening of Love Byron Bay Chocolate, a one-stop corner shop for every kind of chocolate grown under the equatorial sun: organic, raw, stone-ground, fair trade, flavoured (with anything from salted caramel to cinnamon). Owner Alison Campbell, originally from Sydney and a Byron local since 2000, has also sourced Australian-grown cocoa from the Daintree region in far north Queensland and has plans to run workshops and courses in the fine art of chocolate appreciation. Until then, wander in and ask her anything; she’s always happy to talk chocolate.
