The Ori commercial precinct on Braddon’s Lonsdale Street typifies the changing face of Canberra, with its striking origami-like facade heralding a sense of real local confidence, not simply pride. Within the designer apartment building is housed a number of independent retailers and professionals, including modern men’s and women’s fashion from terrifyingly cool labels at itrip iskip, celebrated local florists Moxom and Whitney and HandsomePretty’s array of eclectic and colourful homewares.

Location

For much of its existence the inner-north suburb of Braddon, adjacent to Canberra’s CBD, was known for little more than car yards and petrol stations. In recent years, however, the area has transformed  to become a genuinely thriving hub of boutique stores, restaurants and cafes.
