While smaller in scale than its American counterparts, there are still some quality rides and experiences at Universal Studios’ only outpost in Southeast Asia. Make a beeline for TRANSFORMERS The Ride: The Ultimate 3D Battle and Revenge of the Mummy, two of the theme park’s most popular thrill rides that are definitely worth standing in line for (tip: split up and head for the solo rider queue or purchase the Express Pass at the gate). If you have younger children with you, there’s more than enough to amble through in the seven sections – Hollywood, New York, Far Far Away, Sci-Fi City, Ancient Egypt, Lost World (WaterWorld is a live water show not to be missed) and Madagascar.

A 15-minute drive from the city centre, Sentosa is an island resort that is home to a diverse array of attractions, from theme parks and museums to beaches, parks and golf courses.
