Royal Plaza on Scotts Singapore is located in the Orchard Road shopping and entertainment district, just 450 metres from Orchard Road. It’s about 30 minutes to Changi International Airport by car or about an hour via the MRT (subway). It’s only five minutes on foot to the Orchard Road MRT stop.

The smallest rooms at Royal Plaza on Scotts are 32 square metres – significantly bigger than most other hotels on Orchard Road. Deluxe Rooms are the most basic room type, while Deluxe Plus Rooms have bedding configurations to accommodate families or groups (two twin beds). Premier Rooms, meanwhile, have bigger bathrooms with large bathtubs. For even more room, splurge on an Executive Suite, which offers a generous 64 square metres of space divided into separate areas for sleeping, working, and relaxing. All simple yet playfully-decorated rooms — think bright artworks and patterned carpets — offer premium bedding and 40-inch HD TVs. Views vary, from city vantages to outlooks over neighbouring buildings.

Restaurants and bars

Carousel is the on-site restaurant at Royal Plaza on Scotts, a buffet known as one of the best Halal spots in the city. Almost any kind of cuisine you can imagine is here: Malaysian, Chinese, cold seafood, Indian, sushi, and an overwhelming array of Asian and Western desserts. A buffet breakfast is available here daily for a fee. Otherwise, step outside onto Orchard Road and you’ll be met with dozens upon dozens of restaurants, from sumptuous fresh sushi at Tatsuya @ Goodwood to Michelin-starred French restaurant Les Amis, all within a couple of minutes’ walk.

All room types are equipped with a desk and chair, and have access to fast and free Wi-fi, making Royal Plaza on Scotts suitable for business travellers. A light-filled co-working space and business lounge on level 15 is only accessible for those who book a Premier Room type and above. If you need even more space to work, the hotel also has a conference space and 10 meeting rooms.
