These serviced apartments have a cool hotel feel, thanks to an indoor-outdoor breakfast bar for residents, three outdoor pools, plus a steam room and sauna. There’s also a kids’ playground, daily housekeeping and in-room washing machines, which makes travelling with children infinitely more manageable. Best of all, it’s just a 15-minute taxi ride to Chinatown, where you’ll find some of the city’s best hawker centres.

Less than 30 minutes by car from Changi International Airport, Fraser Residence Orchard is on Paterson Road in the popular expat enclave River Valley, 450 metres from Orchard Road.

The Orchard and Paterson Road intersection a few hundred metres away is packed with shopping malls such as ION Orchard, TANGS and Wheelock Place. Orchard MRT Station is a five-minute walk and has a direct link to Marina South Pier, the station closest to Gardens by the Bay.

Room types

One and two bedrooms are best for couples with young children and families with older kids (the two-bedroom sleeps up to four people) and have separate living spaces with plush couches and a kitchenette. Studios are made for two people and are a cosier affair, with a kitchenette adjacent to the bed.

Restaurant

For an additional fee, The Dining Room serves breakfast daily from 6.30am to 10am, with both air-conditioned and outdoor seating surrounded by tropical plants and trees.

Travel for work

There’s free Wi-fi throughout the building, however studio rooms are tight on space, with only a small round table to work on. One-bedroom apartments are a better fit for business travellers, with a larger dining table.

Pool, gym and sauna

There are three pools to choose from, including an outdoor wading pool, an Olympic-sized lap pool shaded by greenery and a jet pool. The Swedish-style sauna and steam room add a sense of luxury, and the well-equipped gym is open 24 hours a day.
