Where is Ascott Orchard Singapore?
The Ascott Orchard is located on Cairnhill Road, slap bang in the middle of Singapore’s desirable shopping district of Orchard Road, a 2.2km tree-lined stretch of exclusive shopping malls, restaurants and bars. It’s about a 20-minute drive from Changi International Airport, the city’s main hub.
What’s near Ascott Orchard Singapore?
The Paragon shopping mall is accessible via a covered walkway from the Ascott Orchard Singapore, meaning that wider Orchard Road and its plethora of boutiques, bars and eateries are just steps away. Somerset MRT is also eight minutes away by foot; from there, Gardens By The Bay is an easy nine-minute ride. The UNESCO World Heritage-listed Botanic Gardens are a 10-minute drive in the opposite direction.
Elegantly designed with comfort in mind, rooms at the Ascott Orchard Singapore range from the Studio Executive Suite, a 30 sqm one bedroom studio, through to the Soho Suite, an 80 sqm two bedroom penthouse. All apartments come with a fully-equipped kitchen, coffee machine and a washer/dryer. Housekeeping is daily, except for Sundays and public holidays. It’s worth noting that the Studio Executive Suite doesn’t come with a bathtub but the Studio Premiere Suite does, so it might be worth upgrading if a night-time soak is non-negotiable. For families and groups, the Soho Suite might be your best option; as well as two separate bedrooms there’s more space for relaxing and entertaining. Enjoy furniture in the Soho Suite by Fendi Casa, glassware by Christophe and kitchen appliances by De Dietrich.
Restaurants and bars
On the first floor, you’ll find Kith Café, Ascott Orchard Singapore’s modern, industrial-feel eatery. It serves mostly Western cuisine, is open from 6.30am to 10pm daily and is available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. If you feel like cooking up a storm, there’s also a residents’ lounge (temporarily closed at the time of writing) available to hire with a fully-equipped kitchen and ample seating area.
Travel for work
While Wi-fi is freely available for all apartments, only the one-bedroom Deluxe Suite through to the Soho Suite comes equipped with a desk and chair. However, there is an on-site business centre and a courier service.
Pool and gym
The gym, equipped with ellipticals and treadmills, is open between 6am and 10pm, is located on the 4th floor and is divided into two sections; an indoor and outdoor workout area. Also located on the 4th floor is the large and incredibly inviting outdoor pool and jacuzzi, both of which are available to use from 6am through to 11pm.
