Tokyo Disney Celebration Hotel – Hotel Review

Ensuring the magic of Disney isn’t restricted to its namesake amusement park, Tokyo Disney Celebration Hotel brings the colourful universe to life for its guests, across brightly painted common spaces to fun in-room nods to beloved characters. Read on for the full review.

The family (and budget)- friendly stay unlocks a few other key benefits for Disneyland-loving travellers. There’s a complimentary shuttle to and from Tokyo Disneyland, guaranteed entry regardless of high attendance, and Happy5 Entry – the scheme that gives guests admittance to the fun park 15 minutes before any other visitors. Your kids will revere you.

Where is Tokyo Disney Celebration Hotel?

The hotel is in the city’s east, near the water’s edge of Tokyo Bay. It’s about a 15-minute drive from Tokyo Disneyland and just under an hour west of Narita International Airport. The centre of Tokyo is another 30 minutes drive west.

What’s near Tokyo Disney Celebration Hotel?

You haven’t come to Tokyo Disney Celebration Hotel for a pumping nightlife: it’s the proximity to Tokyo Disneyland (and Tokyo DisneySea) that you want. Thanks to a free 20-minute shuttle provided by the hotel, it’s close enough to keep fidgety travellers on task and, if little ones tend to tire easily, for multiple daily visits.

The differences between “Wish” and “Discover” rooms are in the theme and position: both are housed in different buildings, with the former a little brighter with a mural of castle turrets and firework-streaked skies, while the later nods to adventure in pirate ships and sunken treasures. The amenities in both wings are basic, with little more than the area for sleeping and a diminutive bathroom with Japanese-style shower. Superior suites have slightly more room but no dedicated living space – this is Tokyo, after all, and location is the drawcard, not the in-room ambience. Pajamas – unthemed, surprisingly – for adults (and for kids on request, for sizing) are a nice addition, though.

The hotel’s buffet breakfast is served at the respective cafes (Wish and Discover) and includes a range of treats from Mickey-stamped pancakes to simple croissants. Each building also houses a convenience store of sorts, where guests can stock up on snacks such as rice balls and chips.
